MindaSteps is a learning app for children. We designed it to work without requiring an account and to protect children’s privacy.

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information from the app or receive children’s learning progress. The app does not use advertising, analytics, third-party tracking, or tracking technologies. Apple processes subscription transactions as described below.

Information stored on the device

The app saves learning progress and preferences, such as language and dictation settings, locally on the user’s device. This information is used only to provide the app’s learning experience and is not sent to us.

Subscriptions and payments

MindaSteps offers optional monthly and annual subscriptions through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles billing and payment information under its own privacy practices. We do not receive your payment-card details.

The app uses Apple’s StoreKit services to load subscription plans, verify purchases, check whether a subscription is active, and restore purchases. It uses purchase and subscription-status information to provide access to premium content. This information is not sent to a server operated by us.

Subscription purchasing and restoration are accessed through parental verification. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account’s subscription settings. For information about Apple’s handling of data, see Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Audio and speech

MindaSteps uses Apple’s built-in speech-synthesis features to read learning prompts aloud. The app does not record the child’s voice and does not request microphone access.

Children’s privacy

Because MindaSteps does not collect personal information, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

External links

The app’s parent area may provide links to this privacy policy, terms of use, subscription management, or email support. Leaving the app through an external link is subject to the destination service’s own privacy practices. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, and use it to respond to your request. Please avoid including a child’s personal information.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s privacy practices change, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will be revised.
